Meridian63° Luxury Camping Review – Accommodations

The Meridian63° micro-cabins are completely off-the-grid, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a solar-powered battery for lighting and device charging (instructions are included in the cabin).

The living area includes a loveseat, two chairs, a small coffee table, a side table, and a cute journal in which to write your thoughts about your stay.

A small utility space offers storage, a wall mirror, a large cooler, towels and a foot-pumped hand-washing sink with hand soap.

It is not safe to drink the water from that sink so they have provided two water bottles for guests.

Also, the sleeping loft, accessible by a ladder, is equipped with a cozy ENDY queen mattress. Keep in mind that the ladder is steep and it is the only way to get to the bed.

The windows open (they have a bug net) and have thick blinds in case you want to block the sun.

In addition, there are a couple of fans that can cool you off if it gets too hot.

The cabins have a large porch with a Muskoka chair where you can enjoy the stunning views.

Beside your cabin, there is a picnic bench and a large firepit with a cooking grill.

Meridian63° Luxury Camping Review – Amenities

All other amenities are located in the Main Cabin, located about 300-400 feet from the cabin (depending on which cabin you are staying in).

That includes the bathrooms, showers, BBQ, kitchen and Wi-Fi access.

Bathroom Amenities

There are two luxury bathrooms, including a flushable toilet & spacious rainfall showers in the Main Cabin.

Also, toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap are provided.

Both bathrooms were neat and clean every time we used them.

Kitchen

The Main Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove and fridge (no freezer) for guest use, along with a coffee maker, kettle, and basic cooking utensils and supplies.

The coffee machine is a Keurig and there is a small supply of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available.

There is a small table and four chairs, a toaster, pots & pans, baking sheets, and cutting boards.

Also, there is a double sink with a drying rack for dishes with dish detergent and paper towels.

You will find plates, bowls, cutlery, coffee mugs, wine glasses etc.

Keep in mind that at this point in time there was no microwave available.

The kitchen has a glass door that leads to an outdoor patio/deck which has a picnic table, Muskoka chairs as well as a propane BBQ.

The internet was fast and worked well once you were in the range.

Fire Pits

Each cabin comes with its own fire pit, and upon check-in, you’ll find a bag of firewood, kindling, a firestarter, and a lighter ready for use.

If you need additional firewood it is available for $5 per bag.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a more traditional camping experience, you can cook over the firepit at your cabin instead of the propane BBQ or oven at the Main Cabin.

However, before you decide to make a fire, Google if there are any fire bans in the area.

Also, make sure the fire is fully extinguished before turning in for the night.

Parking

Parking is available in paved spots directly across from the Main Cabin.

There is no parking available next to the cabins.

This means you’ll have a short walk to reach your cabin, especially if you’re staying in one of the cabins at the top of the hill!

Our cabin was one of the two on top of the hill so we packed light so we didn’t carry too many things.

Meridian63° Luxury Camping Review – Activities

The best thing to do in Meridian63 is to enjoy nature and disconnect & relax.

However, if you want to do some fun activities, you’ll find board and card games in the kitchen in the Main Cabin.

Also, you can play frisbee golf (the frisbees are in the kitchen as well).

You’re right next to dozens of miles of trails that are perfect for hiking, biking, or snowshoeing, depending on the season.

Therefore, mainly focus on hiking and spending time outside.

In addition, on a clear night, you can see the moon and the stars from the patio of your cabin.

Stargazing is one of my favourite things to do when camping!

Mountain Biking

Meridian63 offers mountain biking lessons and tours.

There are private and group coaching lessons with certified instructors to help you get on your bike, navigate the trails, and build your skills and confidence.

For the tours, there are half-day and full-day options for individuals and groups.

They will pick the best trails for your skill level and the time you have to ride.
